<p class="mainbody"><strong>PLATELET GEL </strong>is platelet rich plasma that has been combined with <strong><a href="javascript:;" onclick="MM_openTopBrWindow('popup_tech_platelet_gel01.html','pop','resizable=yes,width=490,height=260')">medications</a></strong><strong> </strong>that transform platelet rich plasma from a liquid to a gel. The gel is topically applied to surgical or chronic wounds. We produce the platelet rich plasma that becomes platelet gel which is applied to wounds by a physician or veterinarian.</p>
<p>Traditional wound healing involves dressing applications that may or may not contain medications (antibiotics and wound healing preparations) within the dressings to try to heal the wound. A genetically engineered, single human growth factor may also be applied to wounds. In contrast, platelet gel is a natural, autologous substance containing multiple growth factors that accelerate wound healing.<br />
